Important notice: new M-Pesa system

Vodafone M-Pesa launched its new system on February 26, 2017 to provide a better customer service experience.

Among the several innovations that the new M-Pesa system brings, it is to highlight the following aspects:

Name search - now, when transferring money you can see the name of the recipient before confirming the transaction. Therefore, in the last step, you will no longer see the number (beyond the value) but rather the name of the person who will receive the money.

Account statement - for better account management, the new M-Pesa system gives you the chance to check the last five (5) transactions performed in your M-Pesa account. To check the statement, just type in your phone, * 150 # and select option 7-My account. Then, choose 2-Account Statement and enter your account PIN. You will receive a confirmation SMS with the latest movements in your account. This service is free.

The introduction of the new M-Pesa system does not imply any change in the menu, language, i.e. on how to use M-Pesa. The steps for the different transactions in the M-Pesa remain exactly the same.

Vodafone M-Pesa urges all its customers to always check the transactions details before confirmation to avoid possible errors and losses of money and not to accept instructions given by SMS or calls to carry out transactions in the accounts.
