What is Blackberry?

It is a mobile
telecommunications service that allows you to make calls, access
e-mail, internet, mms and much more in real time.

Blackberry is available in the following flavours:

  • BIS – allows access to public domain email services such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.
  • BES – allows access to private email services such as a company’s email server e.g. myname@vm.co.mz

Blackberry may be bought as an add-on service (for either BIS/ BES) when the customer has their own Blackberry device, or a customer may choose to subscriber to a new 24 month Blackberry contract where s/he will receive a new Blackberry handset.

All Blackberry packages from Vodacom allow unlimited email and Internet access provided that these services are accessed from the Blackberry device itself.
The Blackberry service is only available to postpaid customers.

Blackberry customers continue to enjoy the benefits associated with the service through Vodacom/ Vodafone’s leading network of data roaming partners across the world.

Deposit is standard.

24 month Fale 150BB new contract (monthly subscription incl IVA) 1.700,00 MT
24 month Pro 400BB new contract (monthly subscription incl IVA) 2.300,00 MT

What do i need to become BIS Client?

You can either subscribe to the BIS add-on service if you have an existing contract and a Blackberry handset or sign a new 24 month Blackberry contract (Fale 150 BB or Pro 400 BB) and receive a Blackberry handset.

What do i need to become a BES Client?

You can either subscriber to the BES add-on service if you have an existing contract and a Blackberry handset or sign a new 24 month Blackberry contract (Fale 150 BB or Pro 400 BB) and receive a Blackberry handset.

In addition your company will need to have a BES license and CAL licenses provisioned to enable the Blackberry BES service on your handset.

Vodacom Blackberry Installation & Commissioning

  • Vodacom provides consultancy for any of the above options at a fixed rate of 24,000.00 MT.
  • The cost will be added for the clients’ first invoice after IT completion of the installation.
